The fantasy setting of NCsoft's Aion: The Tower of Eternity, known as Atreia, is a world largely divided between the upper world dwellers called Asmodians and the lower world denizens, the Elyos. Once a single united people, the game's lore has been expanding, telling the story of how the rifts between Atreia's people formed.

In the wake of the Epic Cataclysm, the Elyos and Asmodians have their own tales to tell. This is the focus of Chapter VII of the Atreia story. The Elyos tale continues with "The Abyss and The Storm Legion" while the Asmodian story is told through "Retribution". Both tales are accounts of the same event, told from opposed perspectives. Going along with the continuous restructuring of NCsoft West, the European Aion community team has recently been invited to take the long swim across the Atlantic Ocean and join US community manager Liv in Seattle, forming a unified Aion community team.

Sebastian "Ayase" Streiffert, the United Kingdom community manager, and Martin "Amboss" Rabl, the German community manager will be flying to the United States, while Loic "Atreid" Claveau, the French community manager, has declined the position in favor of moving to the marketing department in Brighton.

Ayase, Amboss, and Atreid have all written blog posts reflecting on their individual decisions, and they can be read over at the Aion Europe community site. Amboss's and Atreid's posts have been written in their native languages, but it's nothing that a web translator can't handle. (And by handle I mean rip to shreds, but at least give you the general idea.)

Continue in this trend with iron ores and eventually steel. However, in my case, I mined and smith iron until my smithing level was 46, at which point I started making steel bars. Do Not Smith Your Steel Bars Until You Have Level 48 Smithing! This is very important! Just keep banking the bars and when you finally arrive at level 48 smithing, the money will start rolling in!

ncaa cross country championships 2009 results Monday 11-23-2009 the men and women’s NCAA division 1 cross country championships was held at Indiana State University. The men run a 10K, women run a 6K in which each team competes seven runners, the top 5 runners of each team count towards the team’s score. The runner’s place is the point amount added to the team’s total score. The team with the lowest score wins. Oklahoma State placed 1st in the men’s team competition with 127 points in which their top four runners placed 7th, 8th, 11th, & 24th respectively. They have a fairly young team in that three of their seven runners that competed are seniors, the rest are all sophomores. Oregon placed 2nd with 143 points. They had a strong pack in which their top four runners placed 17th through 27th. They too will lose three of their seven runners, but they have a very strong class that looks to be the top contender in 2010 season. Rounding out the men’s top five teams include Alabama placing 3rd with 173 points, Northern Arizona placing 4th with 190 points, & William & Mary placing 5th with 226 points. Individually Samuel Chelanga from Liberty placed 1st for the men with time of 28:41.3. For the women, Villanova placed 1st with 86 points far in front of 2nd place Florida State with 133 points. All too often these days people in the fitness industry preach the “work smart, not hard” philosophy. Although I believe in certain instances, I think way too many people are only hearing the tail end of the phrase. We are in an age where the majority of our citizens are overweight or obese, yet many trainers still employ ridiculous methods that include warm-ups that consist of 15 minutes on the treadmill (while their client sips their latte and B.S. about their weekend). They follow this up by asking the client to balance on a half ball while curling 5 pound dumbbells. Weeks go by and the client is still just as overweight and out of shape as the day they walked in. Their diet still sucks and they still think everything is fine because they “feel good”. I have nothing against feeling good, but the trainer should also be producing results.

So why aren’t these clients getting results? It’s because they are lazy, right? Wrong! Most of the time it is because they aren’t being pushed hard enough. Somewhere along the line trainers started to become overcautious and tried to keep clients coming back with flashy workouts, rather than effective methods that get results.

What is best way to attack fat loss? Burn a ton of calories! The best ways to increase the amount of calories burned are to increase metabolism and burn more calories while working out. Building muscle with heavy resistance training not only builds muscle and raises metabolism, but it also creates EPOC (Excess Post Oxygen Consumption) that in turn burns calories during the next 24-36 hours after your workout is over. This combination is lethal in the war against fat. Trainers and clients must understand that not everyone can go all out for 60-75 minutes; however, everyone can be pushed to a difficult level that challenges them metabolically and pushes them to a high level.

How to Respond to Your Wife When She Says, “Nothing”

So you hate homework and can’t wait until you get out of school so you don’t have it any more? Guess what…homework will be with you for the rest of your life, only you won’t call it that. When you get older, there will be things like paying the bills, washing the car, cooking dinner or mowing the lawn; all of these are a form of homework. Only this kind of homework HAS to get done or else something bad happens. Just like in school only worse.

We suggest that you think about your homework the same way your Mom or Dad think about the work they do at home. It is just something that you have to get done and usually the sooner it gets done the better it is for everyone. So here are ten tips that we put together to help get our homework done with very little fuss and bother.

First, make sure your really understand what your teacher wants you to do. It is so frustrating to work you fingers to the bone and then find out you did the wrong assignment! If you aren’t sure, ask your teacher or a classmate. But ask as soon as possible because the assignment will be fresh in your mind and you can ask all the right questions.

Second, get in the habit of doing things like your homework as soon as you can instead of at the last possible minute. This is a habit that will last you throughout your life. A lot of people will tell you that the extra pressure of a deadline helps them to focus, but it also adds a lot of stress to the project. If you learn early in life to do things as soon as possible, it will be a great habit to help you in the business world.

Third, make a schedule and stick to it. Everyone will tell you that you will become used to the schedule. And if your schedule is to spend two hours doing your homework, then spend the entire two hours. If you have extra time left over, go back and study things that you did the previous week or two. This will help you keep it fresh in your mind and make studying for final exams super simple.

Fourth, try to find a quiet place where you won’t be bothered by other people watching television or talking. Sometimes that can be really hard. If necessary, maybe you could go to the library after school instead of waiting until after dinner to do your homework. Also, some people really need some noise around them. If you absolutely need it, try playing some classical music. Studies have shown that classical music actually helps the learning process.

Fifth, try making up rhymes to help you remember the important parts of your homework. Think how easy it is to remember rap music or the lullabies you learned when you were younger. If you could make rap music out of all your lessons, you’d be a genius!

Sixth, take regular breaks. Your mind needs a change sometimes in order to remember everything. So, after you work for 30 or 45 minutes get up and do something else for a couple of minutes. It will make things better in the long run. Just make sure your breaks are short and you get right back to your homework.

Seventh, if you want to study with a friend, do just that…STUDY. If all you do is spend the time talking, it really doesn’t help at all.

Eighth, CHECK YOUR WORK! Everybody gets upset when you make simple mistakes that are just plain careless. If you’ve taken the time to do the work, don’t you want your teacher to focus on how good a job you did instead of how sloppy it looks or how you made a silly mistake? And, if you do your work on scratch paper and copy it over, make sure to really check it closely because that is when it is easiest to make those simple mistakes that everyone makes.

Ninth, get a good night’s sleep. If you’re studying for a test, get up early the morning before the test and look at everything one last time. It will bring everything to the front of your memory and have it there when it comes time to take the test.

Tenth, look closely at the comments and corrections your teacher makes. Learning from your mistakes is the fastest way to learn. If you don’t understand why you made a mistake, talk to the teacher about it. He or she will be glad to take the time to explain it to you.

These are the ten tips we have used during our lessons. There are probably lots more, so ask your friends, family and teachers what worked for them. Everybody has some tricks they use. Listen carefully and take the best that everyone has to offer and then make up your own list. Make a list that will work for you. If you do it right it will help you all through life.

Upon drying, these raised areas are done in 24K gold foil, while the rest of the painting goes in subdued watercolor. The final touches in Mysore Paintings include the rubbing of a thin paper placed over the painting, with a soft stone, in order to enhance the opulence and the magnetism of the paintings.

The paintings are themed mostly on Hindu God, Goddesses, and the pictorial references of the scenes from the great epics of Mahabharata, Ramayana, Bhagavta Purana, and Jain epics. In my own experience, I have learned a lot from my failures and have eventually found success by adhering to couple of preventing measures. For the benefit of other novices out there printing and designing posters, I have here these tips or preventive measures against failure.

•       Never use cheap paper – One thing that you must never ever do is to use cheap paper. Cheap paper deteriorates easily and it does not do justice to any kind of color poster design. It is only perfect if you are trying to do a western theme of sorts, intentionally making the posters look cheap. Beyond that however, cheap paper makes your advertisement look cheap, even its message. So hardly anyone will respect the poster and hence you will fail with it. So prevent this from happening and never use cheap paper.

•       Always use colored posters – Another preventive measure against failure is to always use color posters. Color posters give you the freedom to print full color photographs. If you lose these in poster printing because you are printing in black and white then you should say goodbye to being noticed. You will either have to have a really good (and I mean the best) kind of poster message ever or people will actually just ignore it since it looks bland and uninteresting. So always make it a point to use color to make sure you at least get a decent design out.

•       Protect against the environment – It is also prudent to take steps to prevent your posters from deterioration because of its environment. Many fail because they become ragged and torn within just a week of being posted. It is possible to delay this deterioration by using special chemical coatings on the paper that make it moisture and dirt resistant. Moreover, using thicker and stronger paper that does not bend or tear easily can also lengthen the poster's lifespan making it look good longer, getting more people to read it in the process.

•       Never get too complicated with the design – It is also a good idea to never get too complicated with your color poster design. I have discovered that most people do not really care if your message is deep, or ironic. Most just want to understand what the poster is about. A Little Perspective…

As the old saying goes, “You get what you pay for!” Of course, that’s not always the case. Sometimes you pay for something and end up getting ripped off. Other times, you find ‘gold’ at no out-of-pocket cost to you–it’s a gift. We’ve all had those experiences, good and bad. Hopefully, everything evens out in the end.

It’s no different with Christmas clip art as with any other commodity, you generally get what you pay for. There are numerous Christmas clip art sites on the Web, but they seem to fall into one of 3 categories:


They are all free — You may find some ‘gold’ while prospecting through all those images, but too many are usually of lower quality in design and resolution (what I’ll call ‘tin’).
Some are free, and some are not — It’s simple, the ‘tin’ is free, but the ‘gold’ isn’t. It’s an effective hook because they ALWAYS show you the ‘gold’.
Nothing is free — You’re paying for all the ‘gold’, ‘gold ore’, ’silver’ and ‘tin’! (Please do not steal clip art!)

Now I realize that what I just stated isn’t a perfect analogy, but you get the point. There’s another old saying that also comes into play, ‘One man’s trash is another man’s treasure’. When my daughters were younger, their tastes in jewelry and clothing often cracked me up; it was gaudy and outlandish (in my opinion). However, I would never convey that to them. They thought they were beautiful, and they WERE (outlandish getup or not)! It all came down to a matter of personal taste–What they saw in that stuff, not me.

Now, you might be asking, “What did you mean by ‘gold ore’?” These are images that, with a little refining (resizing, reformatting, cropping, etc.) and targeted application, you finally get your hoped-for results.

Going For the ‘Gold’!

Before you do anything, you must first remember that the ‘best and beautiful’ usually comes at a cost, and that includes cash! Please don’t expect something for nothing. Others have invested their own time and money.

Now the process is pretty simple, you need to search for it. No, I’m not trying to be coy. You can easily find Christmas clip art, but to find a ‘great’ gallery, it either falls into your lap (rarely) or you search for it. Here are a few tips:


Be as specific as possible and place your search terms in quotes. For instance, “nativity clip art” might work better for you than just entering ‘Christmas clip art’. If you search for “great christmas clip art”, expect to get a ton of results. You don’t expect people to market “hideous Christmas clip art”, do you? -BTW, I just did a search on that phrase and Google found no results! (thankfully)-
Look for ‘public domain’ or ‘royalty-free’ clip art, which typically means that you can use it as much as you want with only a one-time fee. Please read the licensing agreement that should accompany the clip art. You generally cannot resell it!
And finally, check the file formats before you buy. Most should come as JPG/JPEG, GIF, PNG, BMP, or a combination of these, which will satisfy nearly all applications with a little editing. Vector and layer formats such as EPS, PSD, and WMF are not as widely accepted as the other formats and normally require more specialized editing software.
